Case study · GolfShac

Six people on camera. Thirteen cuts. One session.

GolfShac is an indoor golf facility in Lawndale, California — launch monitors, lessons, leagues, and a membership that lives or dies on people telling other people about it. The problem was never that members lacked good things to say. It was that nobody was ever there with a camera when they said them.

No crew flew out. A Hey Joe director joined the session remotely, framed every shot, and interviewed members and the founder in their own bays while the place carried on around them.

One session, cut every way they needed

The session produced 24 usable soundbites across six speakers — members talking about handicaps, data, having their own bay, the free trial, price against a course round, and bringing family; the founder on starting in a garage. Because it was all captured clean, those bites recombine: the same afternoon became thirteen finished verticals from ten to sixty seconds, each one leading with a different reason to walk in.

That is the part most shoots miss. One testimonial video is one ad. A session cut properly is a month of them.
